Below is a step-by-step guide to creating a perfect reverse French:
- Prepare your nails for the manicure. File them, mattify them and apply nail prep, primer and a thin base coat.
- Then lengthen your natural nails using a stencil and gel, acrylic gel or transparent acrylic.
- Create the “smile line” using a thick cover gel, acrylic gel or acrylic. Make sure the “smile line” has a raised edge and cure the product under a nail lamp.
- Remove the sticky layer using a cleaner and cellulose cotton. Next, file the raised edge to create a tight smile line.
- Apply the desired gel polish color against the raised edge of the smile line.
- Fill the top of your nails with gel, acrylic gel or clear acrylic.
- Remove the sticky layer and ensure that the artificial nails are filed to the correct shape and curve and that the grooves caused by filing are leveled using a polisher.
- Paint the nail with the top coat and that’s it!
